Conference Packages
INDOOR CONFERENCE FACILITIES - the conference room has a lovely ambiance with plenty of natural light and can be set up in formal or informal configuration to suit your needs. It is also equipped with wireless broadband, electronic whiteboard, overhead projector, slide projector and VHS video. The room is air conditioned in the summer and heated during winter. The large 300 square metre activities building adjacent to the conference room provides a weatherproof area for indoor group activities or challenges.
OUTDOOR EXPERIENTIAL LEARNING - Riverwood Downs encompasses 750 acres and takes in five kilometers of river frontage, rolling open country and steep hilly terrain which falls into cliffs on the northern side. It provides a variety of excellent natural sites for use as outdoor classrooms and experiential learning activities. These include both water and land based sites, which vary from manicured parkland and gardens to totally natural bushland settings. There are also excellent walking and riding trails criss crossing the property and an abundance of birds and wildlife.
Orienteering, canoes, river tubes, raft building, bushwalking, horseriding, survival exercises and more can all be structured into an experimental program. Life jackets are available for water activities. Assistance with the construction of physical challenges is available and any additional costs associated with this will be quoted to you prior to work being undertaken.
Team building activities available on site include “spiders web”, canoe challenge, pole challenge, “missionaries & cannibals” and a boomerang challenge.
A nice diversion from a heavy conference work schedule is to incorporate into a lunch break a “River Horseride Picnic”. Our kitchen staff make mouthwatering picnic hampers of freshly baked baguette rolls with an assortment of delicious fillings, servings of cake, fresh fruit and juices. We saddle up at the stables and take a relaxing ½ hour trailride led by our competent horse staff to the river where a campfire with the billy boiling greets you. The picnic hampers are broken open and you sit back and enjoy the babbling of the river and birdsong accompanied with a mug of freshly brewed tea or coffee. A great experience and a great way to clear the mind! Non riders are transferred to the picnic site by 4WD.
You will be surprised by the affordability of our packages on offer. For a package tailored to your individual needs, please contact Amanda or Rowan on 1800 809 772 or via email on Conference@RiverwoodDowns.com.au
